The vision of 'The Gathering 2009' is to hold the greatest clan gathering the world has ever seen. The mission: to stage an international Clan Gathering and Highland Games to celebrate Scotland's rich history and cultural traditions.

The Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival is the longest running Jazz festival in the UK - with the 32nd festival taking place in 2010. The event is also the most diverse of its kind, featuring many different types of jazz performed by top class musicians from across the world.
