Dryburgh Abbey
Dryburgh sits by the Tweed, its remarkably complete medieval ruins make it easy to appreciate the attractions of the monastic life of the Premonstratensian Order who settled there. Fine examples of ecclesiastic architecture and masonry remain and the abbey is the burial place of Sir Walter Scott.
