This is a bright, sunny west facing apartment with fantastic views over the Leith waterfront.

It comprises entrance hall, double bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen and family bathroom. The bedroom sleeps 2 guests comfortably. For extra guests linen can be provided for the sofa bed in the living room. It is suitable for 1 adult or 2 children.

The kitchen is kept stocked with tea, coffee, milk etc.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor of Maritime House and is accessed via a communal stair. The building can be accessed from either the street or via the private carpark at the rear.

Maritime House sits on The Shore; an attractive cobbled street bordered on one side by the Water of Leith. The Shore area has a maritime history stretching back hundreds of years; up until the 18th century the Shore was the main port in Leith and, consequently, in Edinburgh.

While one is still very much aware of the presence of the sea, nowadays the Shore is as much renowned for its restaurants (3 have Michelin stars), seafood bistros, cosy pubs and contemporary cafes.

The area is well connected to the city centre by a frequent bus service. Princes St (1.9 miles away) takes approx 15 mins by bus.

The nearest bus stop is just a couple of minutes walk away at the end of the street.

Arrival is usually from 3pm onwards. The owner meets the visitors at Maritime House to hand over the keys and answer any questions about the apartment or local area. Arrival after 9pm incurs a charge of £30.

Visitors are usually required to vacate the property by 10.30am on day of departure. The keys can be posted back through the letterbox.

* A refundable damages deposit of £100 is required on entry to the property
