The New Town, in central Edinburgh, it is only 5 minutes walk from Princes Street and even closer to a great selection of bars, restaurants and interesting boutiques. Situated just North of Queen Street gardens. The ground floor apartment is within a Grade A listed building. Those visiting to enjoy the Festival will enjoy easy access to many of the venues and galleries nearby; for comedy lovers ‘The Stand Comedy Club’ is minutes away. Dancing to live bands? Jools Holland's Jam House is also nearby. For real foodies Edinburgh has the greatest number of Michelin Stars outside of London, so go on spoil yourselves.
The entrance hall leads to a very generously proportioned open plan living/dining kitchen area which has been decorated with great flair to provide guests with an attractive and relaxing space. The fitted Kitchen includes everything you could need including a 5 gas hob, electric oven, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, ample crockery, cutlery and cookware. Ideal for enjoying a meal around the dining table which can seat 6. There is a TV with free view, ipod docking station and breakfast table with two high stools. One of the two sofas converts into a double bed, accommodation an additional two guests.
The exceptionally spacious double bedroom is decorated in relaxing neutral tones with a cream carpet and provides good storage space with double wardrobe, chest of drawers and bed side cabinets.
The luxurious en-suite bathroom, includes a bath with shower over, separate walk in Power Shower with drencher, a designer basin and WC and a heated towel rail. For icy mornings you can enjoy underfloor heating too. A small utility room is also accessed from the en-suite, providing a washer/dryer for guests use.
You will have access to private Queen's Street gardens where you can laze or picnic weather permitting.
Whether arriving into Edinburgh by air, train, bus or car Abercromby Place is well positioned. The Airlink Bus Service stops only a short walk away, Waverley Train and St Andrews Bus stations are also within easy reach of the apartment. If walking with bags is not your thing then hail a Taxi almost anywhere and relax.
You will be met at the property by prior arrangement, when we will ensure everything is to your satisfaction. Although arrival and departure must allow for subsequent bookings we always aim to accommodate our guests travel arrangements if possible. As a guide arrival is from 3pm and departure by 11am or as otherwise agreed. If you need to drop off bags before or after your stay this is also possible.
Although you will be asked for a 25% deposit for this booking now, the balance is due 4 weeks from the start of your holiday. The owner will collect the balance from you at the appropriate time.
You will be asked for a £150 security deposit along with the balance which will cover lost keys and damage to the property and its furnishings. The deposit will be taken by bank transfer and returned unless damage or loss occurs. Please report any damage as soon as possible during your stay so that a remedy can be organised.
For the comfort of all our guests this is a no smoking apartment and stair.
