This large 3 storey townhouse is centrally located in the highly desirable West End area of Edinburgh.

This building dates back from the 1860s (with various period features) and is split over three levels. The two upper floors are linked by an elegant sweeping staircase. It also benefits from secondary glazing (front facing windows) a magnificent cupola in the upper hall.

It is within close proximity to shops, restaurants, bars, EICC and historic sites.

WI-FI Internet access is also available.

There is a separate kitchen and a reception hall providing access to the upper floors by means of a grand staircase. The large lounge has volumes of natural light from two large sash and case windows, elegant original white marble fireplace (open) forming an attractive focal point.

There are a few good restaurants in the area : an Indian on the corner of Westmaitland street and a Nepalese is next to Large Townhouse. The one that stands out the most is the Chinese restaurant on Morrison street called Chop Chop that was cooking in Gordon Ramsey’s Best Restaurants competition of this years The F Word.

It’s also an easy walking distance to famous Royal Mile where you can visit some of Scotland’s best museums and buildings and try one of Edinburgh’s famous ghost walks. You will find Edinburgh Castle resting at the top of the Royal Mile, with spectacular views over the entire city. You can stroll down to the Grassmarket which offers a great selection of cafes and bars.

Nightlife: A trendy location for Hen Parties is the Cowgate. It has a range or bars and nightclubs. The Three Sisters is a popular choice amongst hen parties. Next to the Cowgate is the Grassmarket, home to plenty of restaurants and pubs. From the apartment is £5 taxi trip or 20 minutes walk to the Grassmarket/Cowgate.

Transport: Outside the apartment is a bus stop so it’s an easy bus ride around Edinburgh. The number 100 airlink bus also stops across the road from the apartment.

Shopping: If you want to enjoy a spot of shopping while in Edinburgh, Princes Street and George Street are just a few minutes walk from the property. Princes Street has many of the well-known stores like Topshop, Gap and Debenhams. George Street offers the stores like White Stuff, the White Company and Hobbs.

Check in time is 14:00 onwards: Keys can be collected from our office (details will be given on booking). Check out is from 10:00am, a late checkout is available (subject to availability) at £50 per hour until 12:00(noon).

A baggage facility is provided from 10:00am, guests can arrive and leave luggage and come back at 2pm to check in. Late checkout until midnight is available but must be arranged in advance.

A refundable security deposit of £500 is required. This amount is preauthorised only, not taken from the account.
