A romantic one bedroomed attic apartment (sleeps 2) on the top floor of a category ‘C’ listed building (the historic former Greyfriars Hostel) Greyfriars Attic is located in the Grassmarket area of the Old Town.

Cosy and beautifully modernised, Greyfriars Attic has fabulous views across the gardens of Greyfriars Kirkyard and the rooftops of old Edinburgh. It’s just a step away from the Grassmarket and its wonderful restaurants, shops and historic buildings and a few minutes walk from Greyfriars Bobby and the National Museum of Scotland. A five minute stroll up Victoria Street (more fabulous shops and restaurants) takes you to The Royal Mile and from there on to Edinburgh Castle.

Guests tell us (and we agree) that the views from the apartment and its privacy are more than worth the climb, but Greyfriars Attic is a top floor attic apartment and so may not be suitable for some persons of limited mobility.

Check-in is from 3pm on the day of arrival and check-out by 10.30am on the morning of departure and we can often arrange an earlier baggage drop-off/late baggage collection to suit your travel plans.We provide a very friendly and personal service, meeting all guests on arrival to provide keys and introduce the apartment etc.
