We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment - it is very homely and comfortable. I would definately recommend it to anyone. The quirky features and traditional nature of this flat provide a lovely Edinburgh experience for guests. The location is also really convenient

This apartment is really beautiful. We really enjoyed staying a few days in Edinburgh thanks to the flat that is really confortable. Nice furniture, clean and quiet flat : we felt like at home !
Tom and Carmen, the owners of the flat are really nice. A bottle of wine welcomed us when we arrived !

This is an absolutely adorable apartment. It is beautifully decorated and was admired by everyone who stayed. It felt like a home from home and as it was pretty wet weather that weekend, it was an easy choice to come back to the apartment! Each room was lovely, in fact the only annoying thing about the apartment is deciding which room to stay in! The beds were comfy for everyone and our party had a mix of ages and a pregnant lady. We had trouble getting cds to work in the cd player but this was not a problem as we just made our own music! The location is fantastic and we would definitely recommend.

Just wanted to say a big thank you - every one of the ladies that stayed at your flat was very impressed with it and really enjoyed staying. They were extremely impressed.

A fantastic apartment, well situated for all the city centre amenities with a nice homely feel.
Comfortable beds and well decorated throughout.
No major issues with noise from the external road experienced over our weekend stay.
Would difintely recommend.
A great location! Very clean and tidy.
However there are several things about this apartment that should be mentioned that are not and it is these things that make the big difference. The apartment is on the third floor accessed by winding concrete stairs and no lift. There is only one half comfortable bed in the apartment. For the cost per night this really lets it down.
The petrol station next door is open long hours and the noise was very disturbing.

Ah, our first negative opinion after 2 years...it saddens me that this person is unhappy about our apartment. We aim to make people as happy as possible during their stay and here we failed. So I'll answer her comments:
The apartment does not look onto the petrol station, our walls are huge and to this day no one had commented on any noise disturbance. It has a 24 hour small shop with some essentials which we consider an advatage.
About the beds: all are under 2 years old, again nobody to this day has told us they have been uncomfortable in them. Is it a matter of taste?
About the concrete winding stair, it is the original georgian wide staircase, with a beautiful wooden banister and plants growing in our floor. Stone staircase, not concrete.
About the elevator non-existence : There is a very detailed description of the apartment in the page, we dont say there are elevators, we explain it is a Geaorgian apartment with a wealth of period features... there were no elevators at the time of its construction!
And finally about being in the 3rd floor. This is not the case, It is 2nd floor, 2 flights of stairs, but taking note I have added the following to the site:
It occupies the whole of the top floor in the building. (It is only two flights of stairs, the 2nd floor is the top floor)
And that is everything, except to say that now I'll have to encorage my guests to write reviews here so that the bad one is not alone!
