This apartment ticked all the boxes and the owners warm welcome set the seal on a most enjoyable visit.
Beautifully appointed, tastefully decorated and user friendly for my cousin who is disabled. The bathroom with roomy shower was particularly appropriate for her and the bright well equipped kitchen was the best of many we have experienced.
Would definitely use this flat again and have no hesitation in recommending the property.
Thanks for stocking the fridge with basics Lynn and your help on departure.

"Ideal for a Couple - Close to Edinburgh Castle a beautiful flat!"
During our maiden visit to Edinburgh, we stayed at the Earl Grey Court Apartment on East Fountainbridge for 2 nights. We took a taxi from the airport to the Apartment which took approx.25 mins and cost £16.50. The exterior was a bit of a surprise but once we were let in, we were delighted because the apartment was warm and cosy, considering the outside weather. The apartment is a one bedroom flat, everything is brand new, from new carpets to a clean and beautiful bathroom, the kitchen has everything there for self service including tea bags, butter, bread, milk, shortbread and, even washing-up liquid and bin liners! The lounge is also beautiful, there were plenty of DVDs to watch, there were a lot of tourist information guides on Edinburgh. We were thrilled to see that we were less than a 5 minute walk to the grassmarket and a 10 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle. Location is perfect to visit Edinburgh. The owner, Lynn is only a phone call away and always cheerful and helpful. We strongly recommend this place to any one visiting Edinburgh for its perfect location, ambience, convenience and not to mention reasonable rates. The area outside the apartment was safe and quiet, its a 5 min walk to Superdrug, 1 min walk to Gandhi Indian Restaurant, and a 4 min walk to the nearest RBS cash machine. The bus stop to the airport was directly opposite to the Apartment, so on the way back to the airport, we took the bus which cost £1.20 each and took 40 minutes. On our first night in Edinburgh we ate at Whiski on the Royal Mile, the food was outstanding for a perfect winter, we had scottish steak ale and chips, and a lamb dish, on the second night we had a take away at the Indian restaurant called Gandhi also on the same side of road as the Apartment, the food was beautiful which chunky meat pieces, and the restaurant was fully booked which is always a good sign, the price was reasonable for around £13 for one main meal with rice. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did.

"Excellent apartment, excellent service, highly recommended"
Communication before arrival was excellent with Lynn ensuring that we had all the information we needed prior to arrival in Edinburgh and asking if there was anything we wanted bought in. The apartment itself is of a high specification - the bed is particularly comfortable as is the lovely leather sofa in the living room. The location is also very good with it being just a short walk from the grassmarket. On top of everything, what made it really special were the extra touches that were made (a loaf of bread having been bought, plus top quality coffee and a carton of milk). All in all it felt like a home from home and I would have no hesitation booking again or recommending to anyone wanting to enjoy a stay in Edinburgh.

"Great apartment, great landlady!"
My parents and I rented the apartment this Summer and really were surprised by the high standard. Good value regarding the high prices anywhere... The APARTMENT was clean, and tastefully decorated. When we arrived, the fridge was already filled with some basic food, which was really nice. All equiptment seemed quite new and of good quality. We had a LIVINGROOM with TV, DVD-Player with a collection of films, stereo with a variety of cds, books about Scotland and Edinburgh, the couch was transformable into a big good quality bed. The kitchen was small but effectively designed also including a freezer and a washing machine. The BEDROOM was also nice and cosy. LOCATION was optimal, a footwalk to Edinburgh Castle and to the main street were we could find many opportunities to dine and to shop. There was a good bus connection with buses coming along every few minutes going in most directions. SUMMARY Very recommendable, we would definetely return there!

"A Perfect Weekend!!!"
Excellent service from the time we got there to the time we left. The apartment was clean and tidy and had everything we needed, and a few extras. Brillant location, 10 mins from the golden mile and 10 min from town centre, walking. Also location is excellent surrounded by fantastic places to eat. We recommend to anyone to go and visit.

"Fantastic modern apartment in a great location!"
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Earl Grey Court Apartment for a long weekend for an international rugby match. I was so pleased that we had chosen to stay here as the apartment was a perfect size for a couple and both clean and modern with everything you could need for a short or longer stay. We arrived quite late on the Friday evening, but Lynn was more than happy to meet us at the apartment to show us around and hand over the keys as well as to provide some recommendations on what to do during our visit. The apartment is within walking distance of all the sights and I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

"Great place, would stay again."
Stayed here for 4 nights over the easter weekend. Landlady Lynn was very helpful and friendly (we especially liked the easter eggs - thanks)! Apartment was just what we were looking for. Had everything you could need and the kitchen was well stocked with the essentials on arrival. Location was perfect for exploring the city - most things were within easy walking distance and there was restaurants, bars, cinema etc nearby. Would definitely stay there again. Eggsellent!

"Great apartment in great location"
We stayed here the weekend Scotland played England in the Six Nations. Lovely, bright airy apartment with great shower, well equipped and spotless. The apartment is very well located within walking distance of the Grassmarket, Prince's St., National Gallery, the Castle and lots of great pubs and restaurants. Friendly owner, we were made to feel welcome and made some good restaurant recommendations.

"A perfect Hogmanay hideaway"
We arrived to a bitterly cold Edinburgh on the 30th December 2009 to be greeted very warmly by Lynn, the owner of the apartment. She had stocked the fridge and cupboards with provisions and gave us a bottle of bubbly to ring in the New Year. She spent time showing us how everything worked and making sure we were comfortable before taking her leave. The apartment itself is on the first floor of a very quiet block, it is very spacious, ideal for a couple. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the Grassmarket where there are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants and less than another ten to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. If you are going to Edinburgh for a quiet weekend or for the upcoming rugby internationals this apartment would be the perfect choice. I hope to get back there very soon.
