A beautifully presented, romantic, one bedroomed attic apartment (sleeps 2) on the top floor of a category C listed building (the historic former Greyfriar's Hostel and Traverse Theatre) Greyfriar's Attic is in an unbeatable central location.

Greyfriar's Attic has fabulous views across the gardens of Greyfriars Kirkyard and the rooftops of Edinburgh's Old Town. It's just a step away from the Grassmarket and its wonderful restaurants, independent and vintage shops and historic buildings and a few minutes walk from Greyfriar's Bobby and the National Museum of Scotland. A two minute stroll up Victoria Street (more fabulous shops and restaurants) takes you to The Royal Mile and from there, it's just a few minutes to Edinburgh Castle. Also excellently located for many Edinburgh Festival and Fringe venues.

Greyfriars Attic is very well equipped and beautifully furnished throughout. We the owners, run, manage and maintain the apartment ourselves. Attention to detail is very important to us and we strive to make sure that the apartment is presented to the highest of standards at all times.

Guests tell us (and we agree) that the views from the apartment and are more than worth the climb, but Greyfriars Attic is a top (fifth) floor attic apartment and so may not be suitable for some persons with restricted mobility.

Check-in is from 3pm on the day of arrival and check-out by 10.30am on the morning of departure and we can often arrange an earlier baggage drop-off/late baggage collection to suit your travel plans.We provide a very friendly and personal service, meeting all guests on arrival to provide keys and introduce the apartment etc.
