The location was close to town, but up a very steep hill, so would be useful to know for future that although it was close to town, its not an easy walk! Also the access road is an unmade road, so we may have brought a different vehicle had we known as the potholes caught the car each time we left! The apartment was fine, although there were lots of out of date food in the cupboards, which could be off putting. All that said, it was simple, clean and the owners were very friendly, so only minor moans, and I would hate to put people off, just would have been nice to know before hand, so I hope this is seen as constructive rather than critical!

I am sorry you found the hill difficult - Edinburgh is a city built on hills and in comparison with many this is only a slight incline!! A bad winter potholed many of our roads not just the private ones but this road does not require 4 wheel drive.
Owners oftern leave food for the use of guests however it should be within its sell by date. We will check with Tom.
