Edinburgh Science Festival Accommodation

The International Science Festival aims to make science fun, exciting and enjoyable. The festival brings together around 175,000 visitors, with activities guranteed to interest all ages - including lots of hands on stuff for the kids!

The festival aims to give children from all over Scotland an inspiring and interesting experience of science - to encourage them to see the value of science and its relevance to everyday life.  Hundreds of scientists, technologists, graduates and students share science with the wider public during the festival - taking science out of the lab and making it acessible to all. The 2007 festival held events in the National Museum of scotland, the Botanic Gardens and the Zoo - all of which pulled huge crowds and were recieved with great enthusiasm.

The Festival is not just for kids, last years '35 Big Ideas Talk' went down a storm with adults, proving what a dynamic event the festival is. The International Science Festival 2008, taking place on the 25th march - 5th April, is already shaping up to be another exciting occasion - featuring eMo, the robot that can mimic human emotions and all the usual facinating facts and displays about our world.
